I’m Roberta Pacino — artist, filmmaker, and lifelong storyteller. I paint whimsical acrylic scenes where magical realism meets cinematic spirit. Rooted in theatrical tradition, shaped by film, and guided by over 15 years of Dzogchen meditation, my work invites you into painted moments where imagination and meaning intertwine.

🎬 From Film to Canvas: My Creative Journey
Born in New York and raised in Southern California, I grew up surrounded by creativity. My parents and uncle were immersed in musical theater. My brother, actor Al Pacino, followed his own dramatic path in New York, while I forged mine through live performance, filmmaking, and later, fine art.

Before I ever picked up a paintbrush, I worked behind the camera. I earned an MFA in Film Producing from Chapman University, co-produced award-nominated documentaries (The Shiver Shack, Behind the Rain), and originally launched robertapacino.com to showcase my film work. Over time, that storytelling spirit found a new canvas.

Today, I blend my filmmaker’s eye with painterly expression, creating visual narratives full of whimsy, symbolism, and emotional depth.

🖌️ My Style & Inspiration
Each painting I create is infused with magical realism, anthropomorphic charm, and symbolic detail. Lions in fedoras, rabbits at tree stump tables, and animals sharing starlit meals all carry a deeper message. My Dzogchen practice helps me see below the surface — revealing quiet truths and emotional resonance.

Cinematic lighting, theatrical flair, and folkloric warmth flow through every brushstroke. Whether I’m painting a fox with a secret or a tiger in noir shadows, I aim to stir the viewer’s imagination — and their spirit.
