Welcome. I’m Roberta Pacino, a Seattle artist, acrylic painter, filmmaker, and lifelong storyteller.
You may have arrived here because my last name is familiar. Yes, Al Pacino is my brother. That is part of my story, but it is not the whole story.
This is where you can discover my own creative world: original acrylic paintings rooted in magical realism, symbolism, cinematic storytelling, expressive animals, and powerful women.
Every original begins by hand on canvas. I paint slowly and intentionally, allowing an idea, a feeling, or a question to gradually become a world of its own.

A Life Shaped by Story
I was born in New York and raised in Southern California in a family shaped by theater, music, film, and creative expression.
Story was never separate from life. It was woven into it.
Later, I earned an MFA in Film Producing and worked behind the camera on documentary and creative projects. For years, storytelling lived for me through light, framing, atmosphere, emotion, and the unseen current beneath a scene.
That cinematic eye never left me.
It simply found a new canvas.
Becoming a Painter
I came to painting later in life, after many years of creative work, spiritual reflection, and inner change.
For much of my life, I carried a quiet belief that I was not quite enough. I achieved. I created. I worked hard. Yet something in me still felt unfinished.
Through years of Dzogchen practice and deep inner work, a realization slowly took root: we are not here to earn our worth. We already possess it.
That understanding changed the way I saw myself.
Not long after that shift, I began to sketch.
Then I began to paint.
There was no strategic plan to become an artist. Painting emerged naturally, as if a door had quietly opened and the creative voice inside me finally felt free.
My art was born from that freedom.
The World Inside the Paintings
My magical realism paintings live in the space between the familiar and the mysterious.
A meal becomes a conversation about connection. An animal becomes a messenger, companion, witness, or guide. A woman’s gaze can hold an entire unwritten story.
You will find lions in fedoras, woodland gatherings, symbolic meals under soft light, watchful ravens, powerful women, and animals that seem to know more than they say.
Some of my animals take on distinctly human roles and personalities, creating scenes that are playful on the surface but often carry deeper stories beneath them.
Throughout my work are questions of strength, belonging, transformation, humor, tenderness, connection, and imagination trusted without apology.
That is the heart of my magical realism.

Every piece begins as a physical acrylic painting shaped by time, presence, and lived experience.
My original paintings and fine art prints are created for people who want more than something to fill a wall. They are for collectors who feel drawn to story, symbolism, cinematic light, and the possibility that a painting can reveal something new each time it is seen.
